Bring new life to your table. Hand crafted in Japan, this stunning vintage (but likely antique) piece is that just-right blend of engaging and soothing. Genuine vintage porcelain.
Please note, the larger of the two tea pots is not Japanese, as it was made in Germany. Its age is more difficult to determine, but it is also -- at the very least -- vintage, and possibly antique.
The Japanese pieces are all datable as having been made in 1921 or later, ensuring that they are at the very least vintage, and likely antique, as well. The dating of this fine Japanese porcelain is due, largely, to how it was marked by the distributor. According to Gotheborg.com, "Porcelain made in Japan for export to the west [were] stamped...on their bases...This practice began in 1921 as...from then on, imported Japanese porcelain was...to be marked 'Japan.'...As a dating aid this works out as...any porcelain marked 'Japan' or 'Made in Japan' is from after 1921."
