EARL GREY IMPERIAL, HISTORIC ROYAL PALACES Tin of 5 Sachets
This tea was in the original five teas that made up Harney & Sons' Historic Royal Palace line. The tin is a lovely blue that is reminiscent of the sapphires found in the Tower of London's Crown Jewels. In honor of the two institutions uniting, Harney blended a special Earl Grey. It is stronger in body than the Earl Grey Supreme as a nod to our British cousins' taste for strong teas. The lemony bergamot is also stronger than Harney's other Earl Grey teas.

ROYAL ENGLISH BREAKFAST, HISTORIC ROYAL PALACES Tin of 5 Sachets
A stout combination of Harney's Kenilworth Ceylon and Kenya Milima black teas, makes this a smooth, full-bodied brew. Royal English Breakfast is also delicious when complemented with milk and sugar.
English Breakfast tea was never designed or formulated all those years ago. Rather, teas were chosen that were plentiful and not too expensive that would taste good with milk and sugar: something an English person would enjoy at the start of a busy day. In the early 1800s, that tea would have been a black tea from China. Later on, many Brits drank the brisker teas from the British colonies of India and Ceylon. After the Second World War, when the colonies became independent, the source of English Breakfast for the British became Africa. Nowadays, the English drink plenty of tea from Kenya, which has taken over from the teas from Assam. What tea from Sri Lanka (Ceylon) has a better pedigree than Kenilworth, one-time palace of two would-be kings of England? It is right and fitting to drink this Royal English Breakfast.
Historic Royal Palaces is an independent charity that looks after the Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, the Banqueting House, Kensington Palace, Kew Palace, and Hillsborough Castle.
