This stunning antique N. Currier print depicts the quintessential Victorian vision of idyllic charm: two children at prayer. One charming child prays for wellbeing throughout the day; the other for the same at night.
The founder of N. Currier -- which later became Currier & Ives -- Nathaniel Currier started out a mere apprentice but, working his way up, ultimately proved the founder of America's longest-running printing house. Over the course of its seventy-three year run (1834-1907), the printers would publish over seven thousand images, firmly establishing them within the American consciousness.
Antique print.
