You have not lived until you've tried this with champagne. Trust. Our classic Rose Cordial (Τριαντάφυλλα, as its known in Greece) is made with rose hips, rose petals, and rose water. The rich pink hue is naturally derived during production. This highly floral, aromatic syrup is exceptional in champagne, but equally at home in cocktails, zero-proof drinks, punches, and tiki recipes.
Created as a natural alternative to preservative- and chemical-laced rose syrups and waters on the market, this cordial is floral, fruity, and naturally-brewed without the use of harmful, synthetic ingredients. NO artificial colors. Exceptional in champagne cocktails, and equally at home in myriad mocktails, punch recipes, and tiki drinks.
Winner: 2020/21 Garden & Gun Made in the South awards, as featured in December/January 2021 issue.
A Creole take on classic Orgeat -- a syrup traditionally made with almonds and cane sugar. We make this version with Louisiana cane sugar and toasted pecans grown on the creator's uncle's farm in Southwest Georgia. This syrup is fresh and effervescent with notes of orange and rose: perfect for any Mai Tai or old fashioned recipe. Try some in your next batch of milk punch, eggnog, or coffee!
Orgeat, a traditional nineteenth-century syrup made with almonds and laced with floral notes (typically from orange or rose water), often shows up in throwback cocktails—especially tiki drinks. The owner and CEO of New Orleans–based El Guapo, grew up in Southwest Georgia, where her uncle still farms pecans. She had noticed that other producers were making orgeat out of pistachios and hazelnuts—so why not substitute in pecans, instead? While many brands use high-fructose corn syrup, this natural syrup eschews it. The resulting mildness makes the Creole Orgeat superb in tiki classics like the mai tai, but also sublime when added to a bourbon or brandy milk punch, used as a replacement for a sugar cube in an old-fashioned, or even splashed into a cup of coffee. Talk about versatile!
As seen in Southern Living, Coastal Living, New Orleans Homes & Gardens, New Orleans Magazine, and more. This syrup is full of fresh, bright lemony goodness that is lightly accented with a hint of ginger as well as soft aroma. Savor flavors of cress, rosemary, and lavender. Made with hand-juiced and -peeled lemons, and fresh, local produce. This syrup makes excellent citrus martinis as well as collins- and lemonade-cocktails. Alternately, mix 1 oz with soda for a simple non-alcoholic sparkling lemonade.
Favorite new cocktail! I just made this yummy cocktail - a grapefruit breeze - with botanical infusion, lime cordial, and McClintock Forager Gin (which is optional). This drink would be great with just Fevertree tonic.
- 1 part gin (optional)
- 4 parts infused botanical mixer
- A generous splash of lime cordial
- Fresh rosemary to garnish
Add all ingredients (except the fresh rosemary) to a cocktail shaker. Fill shaker 2/3 with ice and shake vigorously for 30 seconds. Strain into a cocktail glass (add fresh ice if desired). If you didn’t use gin, top off the glass with tonic (I recommend Fevertree).
Created using two lime varietals, the fruit is peeled and juiced by hand, while fresh lime leaves, grown on the property, bring extra complexity. Brimming with bright lime flavor, this cordial packs a punch in cocktails, mocktails, and as an addition to sodas and tonics for overt citrusy notes. We use this most frequently in margaritas, daiquiris, gimlets, and sodas, but it's also a fine replacement for simple syrup in classic mint julep recipes.
